Triodia Tropicana : About Us
Originally established in 2011, the Triodia Light Vehicle (LV) Workshop provides a cost competitive and quality endorsed maintenance service, currently based at the Tropicana Gold Mine in Western Australia with future services planned for other areas across the Goldfields and surrounding regions. The company changed it's name in 2015 to Triodia Tropicana Pty Ltd.
TRIODIA LIGHT VEHICLE WORKSHOP
Triodia Light Vehicle Workshop began operating in November 2012 as an equal joint venture between Triodia Mining Pty Ltd and Macmahon Holdings Pty Ltd, bringing together the capabilities of an experienced and recognised Traditional Owner mining services business based in Western Australia, with one of Australia’s leading mining contractors – Macmahon.
From July 2015, the business is now exclusively operated by Triodia Tropicana Pty Ltd – a related entity of Triodia Mining. Triodia services a Major Services Contract with mine-owner Anglo Gold Ashanti Australia (AGAA) for the repair and maintenance of all 4WD light vehicles at its Tropicana Gold Mine JV, 330km north east of Kalgoorlie on the western edge of the Great Victoria Desert.
Our business focuses on developing mutually beneficial long term relationships with our customers and our commitment to safety, quality and reliability is leading the way for Indigenous mining support businesses in the Goldfields region, with the Triodia LV Workshop now being the primary light vehicle maintenance provider for AGAA Tropicana Gold Mine JV project, servicing and repairing light vehicles and axillary equipment such as lighting plant and gensets for AGAA and all other contractors on site.
The Triodia LV Workshop has delivered a quality light vehicle maintenance service at Tropicana Gold Mine since November 2012 and continues to ensure the safety and quality of its service to AGAA and all contractors on site. In March 2015 the Triodia LV Workshop celebrated two years LTI free – a testament to its commitment to approach to safety.
The initial Joint Venture with Macmahon helped Triodia scale up its operation and expand its work on the Tropicana Gold Mine site as the project increases its light vehicle and axillary fleet to accommodate production.
Triodia proactively works with the Indigenous community to provide employment and skills development opportunities at the LV workshop.
